Riders have been asking a lot questions about the ThrottleMeister cruise control so we decided to clear some things up.

How does it work?
A custom core replaces your stock one on the throttle and attaches an O-ring and stainless steel and bronze end mechanism. It is engaged by rotating the end piece in the acceleration direction.  Once engaged you may continue to adjust throttle position to maintain your desired speed.  Decelerating the throttle will disengage the device.  The throttle is held by friction.

Does it work well?
Yes, when installed correctly.  It takes a little tweaking with an allen wrench to get the right friction.  My first install I had it not quite in far enough and the vibrations from the road would cause the throttle to slowly decelerate.  A very quick and minor adjustment and it's been fantastic since.

Is it safe?
A hands-free throttle control has its risks, afterall you may get so comfortable you fall asleep.  However, it is safer than other devices we've tried through sheer ease of use and ability to still manually control the throttle when the device is engaged.

Does it look bad?
Not at all.  In fact, the bar ends are a lot nicer than the stock ones that were on my FJR.  Additionally, it takes close inspection to visually see that it is a throttle control and I haven't had one person notice until I pointed it out.
